About Bruce Gabrielle
I’m President of InsightsWorks, a customer research and marketing strategy consulting firm. I’ve been working in advertising, marketing and market research since 1992. My career has spanned working with some of the largest tech companies in the world, including Microsoft, Xerox and Philips Electronics, as well as spending time with internet startups, non-profit associations and educational institutions.
I have an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in marketing/strategy, a B.Sc from Eastern Oregon University in marketing/economics, and a post-graduate degree from Grant MacEwan College in advertising and public relations.
My passion is absorbing as much information as I can to be an excellent marketer. I believe that breakthrough marketing comes from customer insights, and especially understanding how customers truly make purchase decisions. This isn’t as straight-forward as many marketers think, because customers do not always make decisions logically, or even consciously, and so there’s a lot for us as marketers to understand if we are to become more effective influencers.
